I was on and off (naughty me) for a year or 2 and then didnt have my af for 6 months, came off it in oct 2007 after being on just over a year and it took about 2 months to get to norm.

I was on pill 11 years starting when i was 16years old. Been ttc 11mths now. I have a short luteal phase 5-9 days long and i always spot from cd5 anyhow. saw fertility consultant for first time couple of weeks ago and he said that the pill affects people differently and cos of the age i went on it and the years i was on it (11) it will take longer for my hormones to get back to normal after being "repressed" for 11 years. He said my luteal phase will get longer and my periods heavier, he said you need three full days of bleeding to sustain a pregnancy the next cycle, currently i manage three days but the third is usually pretty light.

I was on microgynon for 6.5years then the last 6 months tried a few different ones. Hopefully it wont go on to long, but i wish my doctor had told me this 6 months ago when i asked. We were told not to start ttc till recently cos we were off to africa, but now i feel the doctor has wasted me 6 months. She told me not to come off the pill untill 3 months after we came back, I'm so annoyed.

Hi, I was on Microgynon for 7 years. I knew that we wanted to start a family so came off it about 18 months ago. It took nearly 10 months until I go a regular cycle.

I was on the pill for over 10 years the latest pill being yasmin
i came off in may had a 39day cycle and now on day 12 of new cycle but using the opk's i had faint line 10th good line 11th and faint line 12th so i think i could be on a 28ish day cycle this month

I was on the pill for 3 years. my last pill period started May 10. I got my BFP June 6. So inever even had a real cycle. I fell preggers straight away.

I cam off the pill in June ( having been on it for last 12 year since I was 15)

TTC straight away, was dissapointed cost got this weekend, but have armed myself with a clearblue digi ovulating kit, for this month.

Am so hoping that getting means that my cycle has dropped straight back to a 28 day cycle, but also know, that this may not be the case

Aaaggh, why does even 1 day when you are waiting to ovulate, timing BD and waiting for feel like a year!!!

Snap!! I came off Dianette in August 07 after being on it for nearly 8 years and have only had 3 periods since. Unfortunately my doc won't help at all- told me to give it time. Wonder if Dianette is one of the worst.....

thats really bad, i went straight to my docs and he advised i probably wasnt ovulating so her referred me to the fertility clinic at the hospital. i have had 2 appointments, an internal scan and now they have prescibed me with clomid.

definately go back to your docs and demand they do something. my doc told me the pill should not affect ur cycles at all even though we all know thats rubbish.
