whats the difference in

a normal test and a blood test.

Ok ok i know the amount of hcg but then would that not indicate that something is wrong if there wasnt enought to show in a test?

Im not (well in a few mins ) going to be 5-6 days late and no and still getting . So basically if i was pregnant surely after 5-6 days there should be enought hcg to show on a test? Say if ur nt pregnant its under 5, so say i have 6 -9 (as a 10ul test wasnt showing a ) then if the blood test confimed i was a level of 6-9 surely is that not a bad sign as i thought a pregnacy that was miscarring would be low?

I just had a urine and bloodtest done the other day at the doctors. Patiently waiting for my results. (yah right, i'm just having supper then going to the pharmacy for a first response)

If you are pregnant, the hcg will not enter into your pee, for two (i think) days until after implantation, but will be in your blood stream. That's why my blood was tested as well.

You're right if it is under 5 you are not pregnant, over and you are (or still have your levels coming down from after your m/c. Which they should be down by now if you've had your af) My levels took a while to come down after my miscarriage, but I also had retained products with an infection. Did your doctor follow your hcg levels down to below 5?

With a miscarriage, you're right again, levels are low. However, that being said, if you are in the early stages of pregnancy, then your levels will be low but will increase daily.

Good luck hun. What are your levels? If the doctor suspects any sort of issue, you would have been notified. Please ask them if you are concerned. This is your body that we're talking about.

If you are between 6 and 9, that would mean that you are pregnant, but possibly at the early stages.

I wish you well
Take care
& good luck

Make sure your doc knows you want a QUANTITATIVE test, not a QUALITATIVE one. The former will tell you how much hcg is in your system (useful if you do a repeat in a couple of days to check doubling time), whereas the latter will only tell you whether you have surpassed their threshold for pregnancy (ex: hcg over 25, or whatever number they set it at). If you want numbers & want to see if they rise or fall over time, you want a quantitative beta.

I had a d & C and had 2 since it. I havent had a test done yet as havent been to se ethe doc but ive a feeling that they wont do one and will just say its my body ajusting after mc. Im now 6-7 days late now so surely 6-7 days late would show Hcg in my urine as that would be at least 6 -7 days of hcg. Surely it couldnt have been any later than that as im thinking if it doesnt implant b4 then u just have an ?
