I think a blood test can show positive a week after conception , I know when I had my last m/c my hcg level had dropped down to 8 they say 5 and lower means not pregnant . good luck hun , I dont think 1 drink will hurt

Hey Porkpie....

I think the fact hasnt arrived yet means you are still in the running for

I would have a drink, but just the one or wo and get yourself along to docs when they reopen and get a blood test if you have had or by then!

Keeping everything crossed for your though!!

Hey porkiepie! I'm still in the same boat as you! I am now about 5-6 days late and haven't gotten my or a ! I'm really starting to wonder that something is wrong if I am actually pregnant. So I've decided that I am going to take another test tomorrow morning (Friday) and if it is a then I am going to go get a blood test. I am still going to school so the Health Center at my university will do a blood test and let me know prolly by Monday.

Honestly, I feel like we are in the same boat. I;ve had all the symptoms and I just feel like I could be pregnant but I'm still getting 's!

Please keep me updated on your progress and I will let you know how things are going with me! Good luck and I hope that we both get 's asap!

HMMMMMMMMMMMM??? I'd have a drink if you want one hunni, even if you did get abs sloshed which am neither condeming nor supporting, if preg wld prob be fine. Loads of people get abs drunk only to find they were pregnant.

As for testing and blood tests, I'm not sure what to say, I mean I got on hpt with my son and he's now four years. I had to go to hossie and they did my bloods there kept e in for a few days to check they were rising cos was fear of ectopic. But all turned out to be well. So if you can I'd try and get blood tests done, I don't know how they're more accurate but they must be cos bt (blood tests) alwys come back with numbers.

Good Luck hun, must be so frustrating being in limbo!

Hi Porkpie

Hows about this - u said u don't mind not drinking on the 11th night so why don't u set out with that intention and see how the night progresses. When ur out with ur friends the banter and social atmosphere may be good craic and u prob will have a good time without a drink. I'm guessing everyone will be in high spirits and watching everyone else and their antics will cheer u up. If u really feel left out not having a drink that u could maybe have one say half way through the night to pass urself. Lots of ppl don't realise they are preg and have been drinking at the start of their preg but I think for ur own peace of mind go with the intention of not doing to drink.

Also porkpie we (well I do) love to see ur post on here - thats what makes a forumn ppl posting so post away till ur hearts content. Ur postsare supportive, funny and informative and thats great.
