I'm Currently Feeling: | Can they do anythign to help me ovualte? Hi, just wondering if anyone knows if a doctor can help me ovualte, i know i have only been ttc since May, but still no or big fat positive, so doubt i'm ovulating. I am the most impatient person every, i would consider paying if i need to. Anyone know anything about this? Obviously i don't want to put myself thro anything invasive this early on but was thinking maybe they could inject me with something? |

I'm Currently Feeling: | Nope, unfortunatley they wont help you with anything like that untill you have been ttc for about a year.
Have you thought of trying temping or using a monitor to track your cycles? |

I'm Currently Feeling: | Hi Daisy I think I am not ovulating either and thats contributing to my long cycles. Someone recommended Agnus Castus and Vitamin B6 (I think it was Lyns) as natural remedies. I googled them and their primary uses are to aleviate PMS and lengthen the Luteal Phase, but secondary uses (ie not as much substatial evidence) are to help regulate irregular cycles and restart stopped menstrual cycles. I think this is the route I am going to go down to start with.
Alternatively, I think doctors would look to put you on medication such as Clomid which helps bring on ovulation. I'm planning on going to the doctors once I have evidence of more than one annovulatory cycle.
Good Luck, I hope you find the solution that suits you best
ETA : Docs would need to know you have been trying for 12 mths before helping though like Arcanegirl says, I forgot to mention that |

I'm Currently Feeling: | They might do tests to see if you are or not but id still be doubtfull that they would do anything untill you have been trying for longer.
Two months really isnt long to have been ttc, it can take up to a year for a normal couple to conceive. |

I'm Currently Feeling: | No need to apologise hun. Its hard not to get impatient once you have made that decision to TTC and then your cycles start playing funny buggers with you!
Get yourself a good few months of charting under your belt, if you are still sure nothing is happening let your doc know that way when you go back after 12mths ttc (if nothing is happening by then) he will know how long you have been trying and what your problems were.....or at least thats my plan of action!!
Good luck with the natural route, hopefully it will start us both of down the right road!! |

(see: Long cycle - how long before I see the doctor?)
If I understood right, your period started today, right? mine did too! after a painfully long 66-day cycle! We could be cycle buddies perhaps!
I'm going to see my doctor next week and see if he can take a look at my hormone levels or something. I have been TTC since beginning of March, so it's almost 5 month (and only 2 cycles!). |
