my dh had his appoitment come today for 17th july he has a little pot to put his sperm in then we have to get it to the hospital within 1 hour and half and the hospital is a hour away from where we live and we have to be there by 9.15 i feel sorry for him he is going to get stressed i just can feel it in my bones

My OH had to do his today - we just got back from the hospital - it was al a bit mad having to rush over there after he had done the deed - I kept shouting at all the cars in front to go faster - as like you the hospital is an hour away on a good day. I think they should let you do it at the hospital really - like they do in the private clinics.

We went for lunch afterwards though so at least we could feel we had 'made a day of it'.

It wasnt so bad really - i think I was more stressed than he was.

Just hoping the results are brilliant.

im keeping my fingers crossed for you i must admit im going to find it hard to keep a straight face when he has to do it i !but i no how stressed he gets as im very layed back about this sort of thing but the cars getting in the way might pee me of , i thought you had to do it at the hospital when i read the letter saying do it at home i was quiet surprised ! how long do you think it will take for you to get the results back

Good luck for him hun - maybe you can help him? Making a day of it also sounds like a good thing. What does he really like eg Alton Towers etc give him something else to really look forward to after it, it might shift his focus.

hey hun,is it nhs? if so make sure you keep knagging them for results as we had a crappy time with my dh results,still actually dont have them ,we went private in the end to get same day results,for piece of mind,it was stressing us out and they didnt understand that! hopefully you will get yours alot quicker

The nurse we spoke to before we did sperm tests, to get the info etc, suggested I carry the sample bottel between my boobs on the journey to hospital. Apparently it keeps it at a better temperature!

I felt a right wally though!

My OH had to go through that last month.... We are about 35 mins from hospital...and I am sure they told us we only had a 30 min window???
So OH ended up "visiting" the bathroom at the hospial...hahaha
AND of course the girl working in the lab...is a friend of a friend......So he was able to use every oneliner he could think of......hahahahaha
Last week he also had an ultra=sound done on his nut as he had some painfull episodes in the past!!!
So went and it was a different girl...thank goodness...lol
BUT with all the rubbing and lube..he ended up with a semi-hardon.
he called the ultra sound a "happy ending"
He is the shyiest guy and was horrified that he had a boner under towel..LOL
I laughed my ass off.....
Only telling you girls this in case your OH has to get it done on their privates.......they will get a hard on and not to worry.
I am still laughing about it a week later
