Newspaper article - Coffee cuts chances of having baby

Drinking too much coffee or tea can cut the chances of a woman getting pregnant by a quarter if she already has fertility problems. The effect is the same as drinking excessive alcohol, according to researchers in the Netherlands.
They looked at 8,669 women who had undergone IVF treatment and found the likelihood of pregnancy was significantly reduced for those who smoked, drank too much coffee and alcohol, and were overweight.
Fertility expert Prof Bill Ledger, of the university of Sheffield said: "alot of women can have 20 cups of coffee a day and get pregnany whilst falling off a log, but if youre already subfertile it could push you over the edge."

I read that one too!

It was quite scary considering they talked about the effect of just 3 caffeinated drinks a day, plus one fag, and more than 3 alcoholic drinks a week.

Definitely a very good reason to stop all three!!

I'll need to relax on the tea! I'm thinking of trying the green tea or a healthier option.

I've also cut right down - was a total caffine monster, I love my Starbucks y'see! Only have 2-3 teas a day now, no coffee. Must admit, it wasn't easy for me though
