Thanks | i only used them the 1st time i ttc and never got more than a faint line so and then the line disapppered. I got a that month so basically u can miss the peak easily even doing a test at sat 2 and 7. But at least it gives u an idea |

I'm Currently Feeling: | i think they work if you have a rough idea when you ov..however do loads of bd until you get the + and on the day and after. If you dont have a clue when you ov they can be a pain in the a***e and drive you crazy while you try to 'interpret' the suckers, not to mention going blind in the process squinting all the time, lol!! If you decide to go down this route i suggest you look at peeonastick.com which is great at explaining the whole thing.
If you want to know when you're fertile (when to bd) and when you ov, a cbfm is great as it does all the work for you..you can read the sticks as well, if you have a look at the above website.
In the end it depends on what you wanna do..both work for me, but i find it much easier to use the cbfm as it does all the work for me, essentially, lol!
Good luck, chicken!

I'm Currently Feeling: | For one month I used cheapie opk of the internet and found they worked fine and gave me a dark line at the time of ovulation. I really had no idea when I ovulated. The next month i splashed out on a CBFM as it not only tells u ur peak days (when u ovulate) but also other days b4 and after when ur fertility is still high. I have just used it this month and it did give me peace of mind that I was bd at the right times plus I was showing my DH and telling him it was the right time. He seemed to be taking more note of the CBFM than the opk sticks when I don't think he really understood. The CBFM prob will give u more peace of mind but the opk should work ok too. Read the instructions that come with them well - mine said to stand ur wee stample until it came to room temp so missing simple steps like that may cause the readings to be incorrect.
Good luck |

I'm Currently Feeling: | You do know that the Boots fertility monitor and CBFM aren't the same thing do you?
Boots FM is a BBT reader (and info storer, for 4 months) and CBFM tests for LH and Oestrogen in your urine and predicts your peaks that way (and reckons it 'learns' your cycle over 6 months of info)
Sorry, you probably do know it already, its just a friend once bought the Boots one thinking it was a cheaper version of the CBFM and I didn't want anyone else to make the same mistake! |
