It awful isnt it. I think i will always worry but to confirm that theres a baby there and not a sac would calm my nerves

Hey PP, I have done near enough the same thing.
Before my chem pg in april, I was geting faint bfps one day and 2 days later getting a not pg on a digi, so I went to the hspital, told them I was bleeding and that I thopught I was pg. From there they scanned me and did bloods (docs wouldnt do bloods) and I fond out i was going to m/c before I did. I just sorta knew there was something wrong.
This time, I told a white lie to my doc about not knowing my date of lmp as bleeding been all over the place since m/c so therefore do not know how far along I am. She is now arranging an early scan in a couple of weeks, just waiting for the appiontment now.

Maybe you should try the same when you get your bfp?

Really do not think you should lie. I hope a good gp would listen to your worries and arrange an early scan. Good luck getting that bfp.

i was like you i said that because of the m/c i wanted an early scan if i got pregnant. But now that i am it is the last thing that i want. I didn't feel pregnant the last time but this time i do and i just want every part of it to be normal - if you get me! - and that includes having my first scan at 12 weeks

i would do exactly the same in your situation, after all being stressed out wouldnt be good either.

I've just gone through / am going through m/c at the moment and can't imagine lying in order to get a scan. maybe I will change my mind when I fall pregnant again. But I had to wait 10 days even with bleeding, and for my latest scan (which is trying to find ectopic pregnancy tissue) I had to wait about an hour after my bloods were taken before the ultrasound machine became free. Personally I would also be really nervous because my mum always said 'mocking's catching'. I hope whatever you decide it works out for you. Good luck and try not to worry - though I imagine that's almost impossible xx

I think you have every right to be worried, anxious, scared. I can't say that I wouldn't do the same thing that you mentioned. I am not passing any judgments on this one... (hugs)

When I was at my EPAU and my m/c was confirmed they told me I would have an early scan the nxt time I fell pregnant as, everyone who has had a m/c is entilted to one. I think its for all future pregnancies not just the one after your m/c. Both Southend and Basildon hospitals EPAU's say the same

Well...to put a different slant on this one............when I had my scan (to confirm my mc in Feb), the midwife herself at the EPAC actually told me that if I got preg again I should tell my gp a white lie and say I was spotting again so that I could get an early scan. She said to tell him I'm spotting and that I'm a nervous wreck in order to get the referral. Her words, not mine!!!
