Basal Thermometer dumb question

Hi i no that this is a dumb question but,
I have just gotten a Basal Thermometer and i was wondering do you take a reading from it in your mouth or do you need to take the reading from the vagina.
Please dont laugh i just want to get this right.

Hi hun

I take mine orally. You can take it vaginally and I believe this gives you more of an accurate reading.

Hope this helps

Its up to you hun - either way is fine as long as you stick to the same method once you've decided as vaginal temps will be higher than oral ones xx

Will you be able to stick it up there safely every morning upon first waking? If yes then go for it! If no, stick it under your tongue.

I take mine orally..the same time everday. Celine, a bbt is great because it is digital and gives you a 2 decimal point reading...more accurate temps. Good luck ladies!

I bought a Vicks brand bbt and it's flexible! I am not kidding, you can bend it so it's very comfortable to insert vaginally. It gives results in about 3-5 seconds so it's extremely easy to use.

Celine;

A bbt is reusable, apart from more sensitive results, it's no different than a regular thermometer. The one I got came with plastic covers and additional covers are available so it's very hygenic for vaginal use.
