I think you've got the right idea about the digital test - that way, you can either have a straight yes or no and not spend an hour and a half (yes I might be getting a bit obsessive here!) analysing possible faint grey marks. My husband can't see anything so I guess it is a

I'm going to get a digital test and do that in the morning. Hope you get your PorkPie and that you can find something to occupy your mind for the rest of the day.

Well, looks like I might not be needing that digital HPT after all. I started getting more cramps about 5 hours ago, worse ones than I have had for the past week - needed to take paracetamol for these ones and that made them go away quickly in less than an hour. I went to the loo and there was some red/brown blood - not too much. Then I had a heavier flow of reddish brown blood which filled 1/4 - 1/3 of a pad and also a few mls of bright red blood. No more blood on the pad but there is some light red/brown blood when I wipe (sorry if TMI). I usually have fairly heavy periods. Now, I am 9 days post BD and so this would be the right sort of time for an implantation bleed but :

- how severe are the cramps you can get with implantation bleeds?
- have many people had reddish blood during their implantation
bleeds?

Still have sore breasts but am feeling less sick. Deep down, I know it's probably AF and should probably keep thinking that so I can focus on TTC for a July but I want to find out if there's even a small chance and if so, when would hcg levels be high enough to do an HPT?

Not really had much bleeding since. I am still getting cramps and the occasional reddish/brown blood when I wipe but nothing actually coming out onto the pad. Should I keep my hopes up that this might be an implantation bleed or should I accept that I'm having AF and concentrate on next cycle?

Damn, flow is now fuller with more cramps and more bright red blood so it definitely looks more like AF now. Ah well, on the plus side at least I can put up a ticker now.

We've bought an ovulation kit (first response) and are charting my temps too so fingers crossed we can get the timing right. I guess it will at least give some peace of mind that you know when to BD.
