Quick Question

i went to the docs the other day and as i suffer with depression she put me on Mirtazapine to help me sleep. At the time me and OH decided to wait TTC so i didnt need to ask if they affected my chances of getting pregnant, have googled it but cannot find much info on it.

but now reading the thing inside with the pills it says to let doctor know if you are trying to get pregnant.

could someone help?
(guess a chemist would know wouldnt they?)

thank you

I'm not sure but I think it's best to ask your doctor this question.

I would speak to your doc again and let her know that you are ttc.

I was these until recently because they made me soooooooooo sleepy - Dr said that they should be avoided for the 1st 12 weeks of pregnancy because this is when babys brain is develping. Hope this helps x

Defo speak to your doc..cause i was told by a midwife that the reason it always says 'speak to your doctor before taking this' is because although many things are fine in pregnancy, they havent been tested on pg women (not everything needs to as some ingredients have been used so many times they know the effect) but by law they have to put this disclaimer on practically everything.

Your doctor will be able to advise you.

Good luck, hun!

A Pharmacist would be able to tell you there and then about it and if you need to change meds go to your doctor then but i hate going the doctors so i speak to my Pharmacist about everything over the counter first lol
