I'm Currently Feeling: | Hmm... my and my OH agreed not to tell anyone we're TTC, but I couldn't help myself and told my best friend. She was under strict instructions to keep it to herself, so I was horrified to discover over the weekend that she's told a mutual friend of ours! When I reminded her she's promised to keep her gob shut, she looked really sheepish and said "Well, I thought it might be ok to tell Sarah as you haven't seen her for so long" WTF??
As for everyone else, they know we're planning on having babies in the future, but not that we're actively trying right now. Close friends and family we'll tell fairly early on I think, everyone else after 12 week scan. My OH and I aren't in agreement about this yet though; he wants to tell his kids, I think we should wait- not least because I don't particularly want his ex to find out before all my family do! | | | | Status: Online

I'm Currently Feeling: | We've told no one that we are trying as we couldn't bear it if every time you saw them they asked 'any luck yet?' etc
Also i had an early MC in Feb so will be waiting until i know everything is ok this time. I'll only tell people before the scan if they guess because my tummy shows or something else occurs like a hen night i'm going in AUG - i'm their party animal so won't be able to fob off close friends and family! |

I'm Currently Feeling: | Well OH never told anyone we were ttc....me on the other hand told my 4 closest friends who all kept it to themselves and each other!
I got a postive HPT yesterday but AF not due til tomorrow and its was faint so I told two of the four today(I work with them too which was handy when I had to run to throw up!)
I will tell the other two when I next see them...OH is going to tell his 3 closest friends when we get a dark ..
Our mums and dads at about 8 weeks and my work managers at 10 weeks, and everyine else after first scan.
In the mean time just praying its sticky!

I'm Currently Feeling: | No one knew when I was first TTC, and only DH and I knew about May's BFP. Sadly family and friends had to be told after I MCed. I don't want everyone now watching me with baited breath, wondering "Is she or isn't she?" so I've told people we are waiting to try again for a now. I'm in two minds what to do if I get another BFP. In some ways I daren't tell anyone incase I MC again, but having said that I think I might need the moral support of my Mum and a few close friends as I'd be so worried about another MC.
I so look forward to telling my grandparents that I'm expecting one day (would be after 12 weeks though I think). I worry they won't live to hear the news though as are all in their 90s. I really stress about this.
(sorry to be morbid!)

I'm Currently Feeling: | We've told 2 of our best friends that we're trying so we'll tell them (and you guys obviously!) once we get a . Everyone else will be waiting til we have a good scan. |

I'm Currently Feeling: | We had to tell our local bar tender..hahahaha
JK
but they are friends of ours, a few very close friends know we are TTC. And I made the mistake telling OH mom as well. She was getting worried and her BF has 3 grandkids now.
So she felt left out........so now that whole town knows we are trying......and i get asked everytime we visit.
I had a MC last nov at 8 weeks.....but didn't know I was preg til i lost it. So family didn't even know but I had to tell my Mom and sister after it happened.
I'm torn to tell them now ( when I get my july ) as they live far away and I don't want to stress them until after 12 weeks.
I have all of you girls to share the news with and all the support if needed. So I can keep a pregnancy secret til its time to tell........ |

I'm Currently Feeling: | With my 1st i told everyone as soon as i got my BFP at 12dpo.
When i started TTC #2 in April this year, i told my parents and a couple of close friends i was trying, then when af was so late and after 2 faint BFP's i was pretty conviced i had done it first time again but af arrived at 12 days late, chemial pregnancy. I deccided to give it a miss for couple months as my periods beame irregular and now im TTC again i am not telling anybody im trying again and when i get my BFP, only when i have had it confirmed by a doctor will i tell my parents. I think everyone else can wait til ive had my 12 week scan before i tell them this time.
Of course i have all you lot i can share it with so shouldnt be too difficult to keep it a secret from everyone else lol

I'm Currently Feeling: | DH has told a friend of his that's in the same ttc boat... I have told noone (no, not even my mum!)
I will tell my parents about a straight away, but in-laws have such big mouths i don't wanna tell them til after 1st scan - but that's kinda unfair to DH..... think i'll cross that bridge when i come to it. lol |

xxxx | Hi Niki,
I understand where you're coming from. When I found out ~8 weeks ago that my nan's cancer had come back I wished I could tell her some news before it was too late. But we hadn't even started ttc at that point.
She passed away a few days after we started ttc, so I didn't get to share any news with her. I only have one grandparent left now, so I hope I have news for him soon.
At the funeral on Friday I was all "symptomy" and saw my cousin's 7 week old boy and was a broody mess! I hope that I get my this month so I can at least know that there was a bean taking root that day, just so that in my mind there was a sort of familial coherence, if that makes any sense to anyone else!! |
