I keep looking at baby's clothes and accessories in our local shopping centre pretending they are for my 6-months old niece who I love dearly but who lives on another continent!

You can start a 'bottom draw' like they used to in the olden days!

My theory is that people who reckon they waited till 20 weeks all have supernatural patience or are being economical with the truth. I started making lists, choosing prams before I even started TTC! I go round mothercare and the early learning centre like some wierd baby stalker lady! I've even planned the layout of the nursery and looked at kids single bedding sets (bare in mind LO would be in a cot for ages anyway!!!). I also regularly catch myself doing budgeting for maternity leave, chilldminding costs and have even found myself calculating school fees!!! (). Not got round to planning where the poor little buggar's going for Uni yet though!!!!

I've got some little shoes and a dress (bought on my honeymoon 3 years ago), plus maternity jeans! I've limited myself to this but I do love to go around the baby shops - so far limiting myself to looking at prams and cots and maternity wear - so you're not alone! I like the idea of a bottom drawer - better than secreting it away in boxes and makes it seem a bit more legitimate. It's nice to know that other women do this too. I always get phased when the sales ladies ask when I'm due - they must think I'm a bit wierd when I say we're still trying.
