There are a few popular boys names kicking about so far on this thread!
OH and I had names picked out years ago, but they have completely changed now!
Early favourites were Amber and Willow for a girl. But I decided Amber sounds too much like a trashy American cheerleader and my best mate's sister called her girl Willow, so I went off it a bit.
We had Luke for a boy, but my enthusiasm for that slowly evaporated too.
Currently I'm stuck on Eleanor for a girl, I also really like Grace.
Boys names are harder. After I went off Luke I couldn't imagine even having a boy, I was suffering severe gender-bias for a long time!

But in February this year a name occurred to me and all of a sudden I really wanted a boy!
I know it's common, but it was my wonderful grandad's name, he passed away in Feb at age 99 so we will call a boy Jack. My grandad really was a Jack too, not John. His mum refused to Christen him John, so he was Jack and never Christened - which was *really* rare for a century ago!
Whatever gender, we have a middle name picked out, Besley. It's a family name that is nicely gender neutral. It was my great grandmother's maiden name, and quite ahead of her time she kept it as a middle name when she married, and then gave it to my grandad Jack as a middle name too. My mum also uses it and so do I.
