Hi gals!

I've been having a wierd cycle all around this cycle. My temps and my CM is wierd. I'd love your input regarding this puzzler:

Can you tell the difference between EWCM and "love juice" aka arousal fluid?? I'm just trying to narrow down if the EWCM I've been having this cycle is the real thing or if it's just the stuff I get from being aroused. I cannot tell the difference.

Well if i get "proper" ewcm, it's much more jelly-like - really like a raw eggwhite. But I don't get that very often - more often the watery stuff, which is very like arousal I guess. I suppose the love juice doesn't hang around too long though - I don't generally feel aroused at 7.30 in the morning, so I would say watery, and I don't check my cm whilst in the mood for lurrrrve when I would feel aroused. I think I only get the arousal stuff when I actually feel horny, so if I don't feel horny,it isn't. May be?

I am sorry if this is too much information. But I know this month that I was ovulating, the fluid was literally running from me when I was going to the toilet. Not sure I have noticed it like this before. I just knew it must be the stuff. I certainly wasnt turned on at the time. So I dont think it was anything else.

I think everyone is different though.

it is like raw egg white and i usually have lots but this month its dried up cos have been taking antihistamines for hayfever have noticed arousal fluid is similar and so is semen can be hard to distinguish between the two

Thanks, all you ladies, for bein' so willing to "bare all"! I'm starting to get some "criteria" going in my head for telling the difference. It sounds to me that EWCM is much more gel-like, with some "body" to it, like real EW. Arousal fluid is much more watery. "I think I only get the arousal stuff when I actually feel horny, so if I don't feel horny,it isn't. May be?" Magic, you make a good point. I really doubt that I would be horny enough to have any arousal fluid first thing in the morning! Now that you got me thinking, I cannot recall ever having seen any arousal fluid unless I'm actually horny.

Shimmy: I used to get loads of "soak my panties" EWCM but not for the last several cycles so I have to really study any little bits I get very carefully!!

Dizzynic: I tend to get semen mixed up with my usual CM, which is sticky. Both are cloudy/opaque and cream-coloured and about the same consistency except semen's a tad bit lotion-like.

Thanks gals... looks like my specimens truly were EWCM as I was not aroused anytime immediately before wiping.

From personal experience, i would say there's a vast difference...the ewcm is literally like eggwhite...all stringy. whereas natural cm is more watery, not at all stringy, more watery, slippery yes (here comes the tmi) but you cannot make it string between your fingers, when pulled apart.

Id suggest, unless you've already done this, to chart it for a month so you can (hopefully) see a difference..

Great suggestion Omi! I haven't ever actually taken the time to analyze my arousal fluid very carefully. That would certainly help a lot! I'll be getting in a BD session tonight so we'll see if I can get a good sample to analyze. He he...
