What stuff has the doc gave you? Have to tried Regucol? Its not very nice to drink, a bit like fibre gel but it helps a bit with the bloating, I was told to keep a food diary of what I eat to try and find out what triggers it off, turns out to be bread, dairy and vegetables, I’ve been told not to eat any veg in particular and stick to fruit, I find this impossible as veg is prob my fav food! I was brought up to eat all my greens. Had a Sunday dinner yesterday with all the trimmings and the result of it is below LOL!
Try Colprimine, it doesn’t help as much with the bloating but can ease the cramps a little or even peppermint tea!
How do you get these pics to work then? LOL blonde moment, I should know reallt I work in IT LOL!! |
Hey hun no I havent tried any of that, worth a shot tho!!
I secretley love being bloated
to upload a pic, I uploaded mine to photobucket, then copied the code into here

I'm Currently Feeling: | Aaaww Hays I feel your pain, my IBS is thought to be stress related.
Had been fine for the last couple of months but it seems to have returned with vengeance.
Pills doc gave me are no use either.
At least mines comes and goes it must be a nightmare having it permanently | | | | Status: Offline

I'm Currently Feeling: | Hays, I can sooooooooo sympthise with how you feel. I get bloated like that every day, almost without fail. I discovered that it was dairy/lactose causing the problem, but when I gave that up I developed an intolerance to soya. When I gave that up too I developed yet more intolerances, so I decided to give up giving up! However, I tried to guess before my tests what I was intolerant to and was way off (I thought bread, etc), so unless you're going to follow a strict diagnostic type exclusion diet there's no point cutting things out of your diet (in my opinion anyway!). Here's what I wrote in another thread a while ago: I have suffered from IBS for 10 years and I know how debilitating it can be. Here are a few things I would advise:
1. When bloated and in pain, try lying on your tummy for a while or going for a walk. Sitting makes it worse.
2. Wear looser clothing on days when it's bad as tighter waistbands can make it worse.
3. NEVER put off the urge to use the loo...otherwise you're asking for trouble. If you put it off you are likely to end up being unable to go, and in a lot of pain.
4. Exercise whenever you can.
5. Get yourself tested for food intolerances or allergies. A lot of people (myslf included, once!), guess that they should stop eating certain things, e.g. wheat, but they can be way off the mark. In fact it can be something completely unexpected causing the problem. Also, although salads help some people, they don't help me as my body finds it hard to digest raw salad products. Lightly cooked veggies are better for some people.
6. Definitely eat smaller and more often, and drink plenty of fluids. Warm drinks can help to get things moving when you think it's time to use the loo!
7. The medication my doc prescribed only worked for a limited period as my body adjusted to it. The second lot of meds also lost their effectiveness after a while. I have found it better to self-manage the situation.
8. I have found that home cooking upsets me less than pre-prepared meals and sauces. Time consuming, but I always cook extra so that I can freeze some for mid-week easy meals!
Hope at least some of this helps a little! Good luck |

I'm Currently Feeling: | PS...yes, stress is a factor, but I'm no longer stressed and I still suffer! Was thinking about trying hypnotherapy as this is supposed to help. |
