i find it really upsetting too.

part of my job is to deal with SUDI's - *sudden unexplained death in infantcy and it's heartbreaking to have to try and talk to the parents who have lost something so tiny whilst trying to do your job.

i have had to deal with quite a few and they look so tiny. i find it really hard to keep my emotions in check and be professional.

That is so sad

I've not long ago had a m/c but, to have had a sucessful pregnancy then find to find your little one passed away when you thought they were fine and just asleep. It's just got to be one of the most heart breaking things we can go through. My heart goes out to all that have experianced this

Yeah you can put it under the blanket, it a sensor, but i don't know if they work, they only problem if it goes off it can give you heart attack, seriously, it has happened a few times with my sons, and if jumped out a sleep, frighten and nothing is wrong its just it came off abit, or your sitting there waiting for the beep, and it seems like ages. It can't stop cot death but they think it can give you a chance to do something if it does happen.

I use to sleep but in my sleep i still heard the beeping, i was totally aware of it all the time, the boys came everywhere with me, i never lefted them in the room to sleep, if they did sleep during the day it was in the moses' basket in the living room, or in there high chair.

I think it just happens and there is nothing you can do too stop it, My mum did everything she was told too do, breastfeeding, the way she slept etc. But she was ill a week before she died and nobody did anything about it, My mum Health Vistior ended up leaving her job because she felt she could have done something.

edit to add wasn't there high chair was there car seat
