Please give me some advice

Hi Girlies, Im new to this forum and TTC well since April but this is the first month of charting.

My problem is my cycle is about 29 days, started using CB OPK on day CD11 until CD17 (yesterday) I had no smiley face so I either had no LG surge or used the tests wrong, bought some cheapies online which came today so used one this morning and again no surge so not sure whether I am still to OV or have missed it.

Also I've been checking my CM each day; morning and afternoon and since CD day 15 it has been creamy but not much of it; however Thursday night I noticed it was getting a bit sticky and a lot more of it, as this is the first month of me actually checking my CM I not 100% sure whether this was EWCM or just creamy.

My fiance Kev works away from home (Which makes timing BDing very hard) so as soon as he got home at 2pm today we started BDing with the help of preseed, I dont ever get any symptons such as cramping etc so I never really know when I am OVing.

Sorry to waffle on..........

My question is - do you think I have missed my ov or there is any chance at all that BDing today may have caught an egg....or am I just being far too optimistic?

Lisa x

I looked at your chart, without the temps its not so easy but just going by cm and cervical position i would say that you havent O yet.

I would say that your cm is still creamy, ewcm is really just that, like egg whites.

You said that you used an ic opk this morning, you are best doing opks in the afternoon, dont drink or pee for at least 2 hours and then do it at say 3pm.

I hope this helps

You should try temping for a month to see if that can pinpoint when you OV if the opks aren't working for you. Like Shel said you should do them in the afternoon about 4pm after not drinking and holding for at least 2 or more hours.
If you are unsuccessful this month try to BD every few days at least, athough this could be difficult if OH is away.
When you say your CM is sticky is it clear and very stretchy or yellow and can't really stretch?

Hi,

I have been using OPK's this cycle(its my first proprer ttc month) andhavent had a positive yet. I used fromday 8 until Day 16 and only every got a very faint second line which wasnt classed as positive on the brand I was using.

I would also suggest tempin your next cycle as then you can see when you ovulate and how it ties in with your cm and cervix positioning.

Good Luck getting your

Hi Girls, thanks so much for your advice, I will start temping from CD1 on the next cycle and see if I can actually pin point my OV. I took your advice and OPK at 3pm today and still no LH surge Still been as much as possible just in case which is great fun!!!

Today my CM (sorry in advance if too much info) seems more EW than creamy but it may be some of that preseed that we used yesterday!

Anyway based on all the advice; if theres no this month we'll start afresh next cycle and take temps as well as OPKs in the afternoon rather than the morning!

I'll keep you all posted....Thanks again, I really appreciate the advice, this website has given me a crash course over the last few days! xx
