hi girls i heard on the news the other day about these new ovulation patches does anyone no about them ? you are just ment to stick them on you and if thay change coulor then you are ovulating thay are ment to be the best thing about so thay said on the news copyed and pasted Fertility patch help for wannabe mothers
Jun 5 2008 By Aidan McGurran

A SKIN patch which predicts the best time a woman can become pregnant has been unveiled by scientists.

The rubberised patch, the size of a £1 coin, measures the tiny changes in body temperature which indicate when ovulation occurs.

It can be plugged into any computer using a USB port which can then be read using a sensor similar to a supermarket barcode scanner.

It is stuck on to a woman's skin near her bra strap and stays on night and day to record the minute changes in temperature.

It builds a picture of the crucial body basal temperature over a 24-hour period.

The Duo Fertility's makers say it is far more accurate than any current system.

It was developed by Cambridge Temperature Concepts, a spin-off firm started by Cambridge University students.

They hailed the product, which is due to go on sale this year for around £500, as a breakthrough which could save couples and the NHS a fortune in unnecessary tests and procedures.

Chief scientific officer Dr Oriane Chausiaux said: "Monitors currently available rely on the user waking at the same time each day, not sleeping with their mouth open or moving before they have done the test - all these can affect the result.

"Our system gathers much more accurate data over the full 24 hours and can 'learn' about the wearer's personal cycles.

"It doesn't need any special software and people could even plug it in in an internet cafe. The results are displayed on the reader."

Ive had no problem getting preggers but had a mc but just think of the time spend and heartbreak of getting . Also think of the amount of mmoney spent on ovulation and preg test over that period of time

It sounds a good ideaa nd hopefully more people getting preggers therefore less people getting unneccesary tests and therefore quicker appointments for couples that need fertity help

If you go to their website you can sign up to go on a free trial using the patch. They are only going to choose a handful of women, so itsa a bit of a lottery, but there's nothing to lose!

I did read about this yonks ago, looks fab but sooooooooooooo expensive! Surely, if they retailed at, say, £50, they'd sell more?! You can POAS and find out when you OV (kinda) for less than £5! x
