... you have a daughter in her late 20s. She's been a bit down lately. Then she confides in you that she's been TTCing for the past few months, with no luck. It's bringing her down; driving her crazy.

What will your words of wisdom be? This is, of course, assuming you do eventually conceive (seeing as you have a daughter, doh!).

I would print out some stats from the web that suggest it can take up to 18-24 months for some perfectly healthy girls to conceive. I would tell her I've been through the same but she's evidence you get there in the end. I'd tell her that good things r worth waiting for.

Then I'd go home and shed a few tears with my hubby, so sad my poor gal has had to go through the same as me.

Hmm i think id pretty much be the same as you hun, id give her as much info as possible and let her know she's not alone in trying ... and fingers crossed if its a her then i'll let her know it took me 2 long years to make her!!

And of course if bnb is still here ill send her here, naa this will be way too old school in 30 years lol

I think I would react like you, try to come up with as many 'active' suggestions to give her, all the weird and wonderful stuff we have resorted too!!!
And I would also tell her not to give up hope, tell her about my journey (briefly ... I'm guessing DD wouldn't want the gory details!) tell her that I had her, so there is hope, even though it feels a long way off.

hehe yup id be the same hun,id assure her that it WILL happen. Giver her lots of cuddles and the one thing i wont say is 'just relax and stop stressing' because i hate people saying that to me

Give her alot of imformation and tell her everything she needs to know and to not get upset because it will happen eventually.

3 hours ago I was thinking of names.

3 hours before that I was staring at my new chart wondering.
