Me moaning - rant alert!!!!

Hi everyone!

I'm feeling so crappy today - I just feel like I'll never get that and I don't feel like anyone understands me.

I took my little boy to a birthday party at the weekend and was talking to my friend, I was asking her if there was any thing I could take to help along the way and her friend (who I have n ever met before) was obviously earwigging and she blurted out "just stop trying you'll never fall if you keep trying" and then she mentioned that she'd had a miscarriage years ago before her daugther was born, and my friend announced to this woman that I had had a MC at the end of march! its not a secret or anything but I don't know this woman from adam and here she is being told my business! Anywhay she then told me that I should even think about trying now because my body's obviously not ready prepared for a pregnancy atm, or else I wouldn't have MC'd in march and if I fell pregnant now I'd just loose it again - and perhaps I should loose weight!! I just feel totally shattered now I just feel like everything is stacked against me.
I just feel so alone and I'm being snappy with everyone, I just feel liek maybe I should give up altogether!

Sorry for the rant!

x

So sorry you're feeling bad. That woman had no right to say what she did to you! People are so insensitive. I MC a few weeks ago, and I'm shocked by the things a few people have said.
Two doctors and my acupucturist have told me that there is no problem with TTC so soon after MC, so don't listen to what she is saying. I feel for your frustration as I TTC for ages before my MC, and felt so cut off and helpless all that time.
Keep on trying though. We are here for you whenever you need to moan or chat.

Well I hope you were snappy at her,omg some people!

You ( I hope!) know it's a load of rot what she said about mc - that you would lose again, there is no evidence to show an increased risk of mc after you had one

going to follow on with the rant!

do you even know this woman? i cannot believe that someone would be so rude as to comment on your life and your choices - i wouldn't expect one of my closest friends to say that to me never mind some complete stranger. Don't get disheartened hun - I had an early mc last month and my gp told me to start trying again as soon as we were ready emotionally - so what the bloody hell does she know. NOTHING. she is clearly a very small minded individual who has nothing else in her life to keep her mind occupied.

sorry for rant hun - but it really gets to me how people think that they can just comment on someone's life like that. Try not to take it to heart hun - people like that just aren't worth it.

PS - god, i hope you're not going to say she's actually a really close friend of the family.

I KNOW that what your saying is so true and if someone had told me that she's said that to them I'd be saying exactly what your saying to me!!! I just wish she hadn't said it because it's really playing on my mind!!!! Thanks for listening to me rant tho!!!

No the friend that I was talking to is just a friend from the school - our little boys are in the same class - but her friend with all the comments, I have never met before!!!!!

OMG the nerve of people who think they can comment on your body!!!

I am so so sorry you had to experience that truely horrible woman!

I cannot offer you any advice since this is my first month of ttc and have never been pregnant but surely she should havea bit more understanding of your situation and not be making such flippant comments.

I say keep trying, yes so you say your a little bit overweight but so are alot of others. I certainly am.

I hope you try to ignore her horrible comments and continue on ttc....I wish you so much luck on getting soon...and if you see her again ignore her!

wow...some people.........
next time a stranger gives advice...say " do I know you?" with a snotty look

I have been told to stop 'trying" and it will happen....by a few sort of friends. ( same ones that say you'll get preg if you have a few drinks first???!!! wtf?)
um....excuse me but if you stop trying..doesn;t that mean you WON'T get preg.
I swear the only ppl who get preg by NOT trying are the irresponsible ones not ready for a family.....or the parents of a F.A.S. baby.

anyway sorry to add my rant..BUT you are not alone.....I think everyone on this board has been told to relax.
And anyone who has had a MC is nervous about tryng again but our odds of having a healthy preg get better!!!!!!!!
Good luck hun!!!!!!
