I'm Currently Feeling: | I need som advice please!!! Hi I hope that someone can help me! How do you know if you are ovulating? I am worried because I tried using the ovulating kits from day 10 till day 18 but it never showed that I was ovulating I have a 28-30 day cycle. But my periods have been a bit strange since i had a miscarriage last year. For example this month I came on at the right time but it wasn't a period it was just pink spotting for about 3 days. I have 2 children already aged 2 and 3. Is it possible that these are signs that I've stopped ovulating I've been ttc for over a year now. I'd really apreciate any advice. I'm Currently Feeling: | Why don't you try monitoring your CM, temping and also buy some cheapie OPKs off of ebay and do it every day after the last day of AF and see what happens.
You normally get EWCM when you are ovulating which is an indicator and if you chart this and your temps on a site like fertilityfriend.com it will show you what is happening?
If you have no joy again this month i'd go to the docs and speak to them, see if there is anything they can suggest?
Good luck chick x |

I'm Currently Feeling: | Ok, firstly when you said that the OPK's didnt show that you were ovulating, do you mean that you never got a 2nd line, or that the line didnt ever get as dark as the control line?
Personally I would order a stock of the cheapie OPK's from ebay (or similar), you can get a pack of 25 or even 50 for a few pounds. Use them twice a day - early afternoon and evening before you go to bed!
The only reason I say this is I used them my 2nd month TTC and ignored the instructions on when to start testing, and used them very early in my cycle, on cd 11 I got no line when I tested in the afternoon, when I tested the same evening I had a line (albeit nowhere near as dark as the control line), and when I tested the next afternoon the line was gone. I just knew I had ovulated the morning after I had a faint line! Hey presto I got my BFP!!
If I hadnt have used them twice a day I would have missed ovulation altogether..........I also ovulated 8 days earlier than the month before!!
One other comment, try ordering the high sensitivity OPK's (I think they are 15MIu, rather than the standard ones which are 40mIu), much better if your cycles are a bit hit & miss!!
Hope this helps a little and good luck!!! |

The only time I ever got a very dark line was when I was 5 weeks pregnant when I used one purely as an experiment!!
I know they tell you that the control line has to be darker than the test line, but I think many of us have ignored this and still got our BFP's!! Next month take the darkest line you get as a positive and get BD'ing!!! |
