Alcohol & CBFM

Hi Girls,

Can anyone tell me if drinking alcohol the night before you test with CBFM affects the reading?
Ive been a bad girl this weekend and drunk quite a bit of vodka and coke over fri/sat nights at two parties. I know I am about due to ovulate and am still getting lows, could this be down to the alcohol do you think?
I know the CBFM is not reliable in your first cycle, but am just wondering if the above is viable?

Ta

As far as i know, no. the cbfm picks up the levels of estrogen (highs) and lh (peak) in your urine..so if its there it should pick it up.

Good luck and get bd'ing missy!!!

Thanks omi..
I couldnt find anything on the net that suggests this but thought I would check.
Does anyone know anything about the lines on the tests? Mine have had 2 lines right from day 6 but one being alot stronger than the other. The other one is always very light, they havnt changed much, although have noticed the darkest one seems to be getting darker!
Any ideas?

You have come to the right girl, jacqui, lol!!

if you hold the stick with pee end to the left the right line measures your estrogen and left line measures the lh.. When you get a peak they will almost be the same strenght or the lh darker than the estrogen. Poas.com explains the same if you wanna check that out..

hope that helps!

Sorry Omi I disagree slightly, the estrogen one gets paler as the lh gets stronger on the peak
