| I have diabetes and was taking metformin with my insulin but was advised to stop before ttc. Not sure if it helps with ov but stopped taking metformin dec 07. Started ttc end of Jan and had BFP end Feb which sadly ended in missed miscarriage end March. Have been ttc again since end April. | | | | Status: Offline

I'm Currently Feeling: | Yeah Met is used to tread PCOS - which is an insulin related condition, hence why it's also used for Diabetics. But I wouldn't go taking it without being diagnosed first. Gyno thought I had PCOS and put me on met and it stopped my AF completely. So, it's best to get medical advice first. |

I'm Currently Feeling: | I am with Ney Ney. It only helps you ovulate if you fit into very specific PCOS criteria. It didn't do crap for me in 3 months either. |

| I have PCOS and take metformin, which has worked a treat for me. However please don't take it without medical advice. |

I'm Currently Feeling: | No I won't take it, I'm going to get an appoitment with the GP on monday morning because a couple of years back she done a blood test that came back showing that I wasn't ovulating - she said there was no point in putting it right untill we were ttc so I'm going to get the bloods redone and see what happens from there! |
