thats what i was trying to say in my other post

Oh how insensitive is that? I really think you should ask to see another doctor and tell the other doctor what has been said to you and how sensitive you feel about it. It's not fair to be blunt about such a delicate subject and if there are weight related issues, then in my opinion it's not the end of the world, just something that needs to be tackled slowly and with care. Without blood tests I would imagine a diagnosis relating to fertility cannot be made by looking at someone externally. That sounds like someone looking at a woman with grey hair and saying they couldn't possibly conceive because they are too old. What a load of rubbish.

I actually really like my doctor, he is really young and trendy, single with no children of his own and gave me a wonderful reception when I told him I wanted to give it go TTC and I am nearly twice his age. So, you see the problem lies with the doctor and not you. Change your doctor, perhaps even ask to speak to the Health Nurse as they are sometimes much more in the know of this TTC business. My Health Nurse by the way made me cry with happiness as she was so supportive of me and really helped me believe in myself.

Let us know how you get on but it will cost you nothing to visit your Health Nurse at your doctors surgery. That's what I would do.

omg that is totally out of order!
is there another surgery in your area you can try with other female docs ??
if not (i know its not ideal) but could you not just close your eyes n cope with a male doc .... if it gets the result u want then surely it will be worth it ???

all the luck in the world x x x

I hope by all our responses that the dr is out of order and so you feel a bit better! For what its worth I weigh under 9stone and have pcos so very long cycles. SO weight can be an issue but not always!

Hey girl,

I had a similar response from my doc on Monday, as I have almost missed 3 af too. He said I was too young to worry to about irregular/absent periods (Im nearly 24!) and that it would sort itself out in its own time. That's not much help! He did send me for a blood test though, but won't give me anything to kickstart af regardless of the results. Get results 2moro. So this seems to be a common response of G.P's. though there was no need for yours to be so insensitive.

Hope AF arrives soon and you don't have to go back to that nasty doc!!

I've just started taking agnus castus to regulate cycles and just had my first cup of parsley tea which is meant to start a delayed af. Tasted like vegetable water but im willing to give anything a go at the minute!!!

Thanks again girls. i do appreciate al the feedback and support. i have been trying to loose a bit of weight anyway, andi will continue to do so. I am going to wait for the results of the blood tests, ad see what they do about it then. Hopefully thing will return to normal soon.

Just charted my temps again on FF and it seems to think i have ov'd. Will wait and see what happens. Due on again around 19 of month.

:Thanks:
