There's no perfect age to have a child imo, being younger has it's advantages and disadvantages - but then again so does being older, or being "the perfect age". Unfortunately you will come across rude medical staff. I had my daughter when I was almost 18 (unplanned) and the staff were soooooo hostile, insisiting on caling me Mrs. even though I pointed out I was not married, and they said that they didn't want to upset the other mums on the ward. humph.

Have you had your pregnancy confirmed yet?

I think that age can be a factor, I mean I certainly don't encourage 16 year olds to try for a baby, but that said - I know some very responsible teenage mothers. What I think personally is everyone is different. There are a lot of external influences on having a child that need to be addressed. If a young couple, say your age are married and set up and financially ready for a child, why should age restrict them? I mean you're hardly a child anymore.

I wish you all the best.

I think that if you think you might be pregnant, you should see your DR asap. Rude or not, you require prenatal care. I agree, the DR was rude, but you can set limits by telling him that his comment is not welcome or appropriate. Hopefully that will shut him up. I just worry about you not getting your pregnancy confirmed, etc. There is blood tests etc, that all should be done right away. Good luck!

My sister was 19 when she got pregnant and she's doing fine. I was 22. I would have preferred to be a bit older and I think my sis would have also but we're both doing fine.

As for all these hostile doctors and nurses... wow... I can't believe that stuff still goes on in this day and age!

Surely by now a preg test would come up postitive, i have gone without periods for 3 months before but that was due to another condition which i was not aware of at the time. I hope you get sorted soon, i'm afraid doctors arent always thinking before they speak, and no one will judge you here there are people on here younger than you who are expecting or already have kids so dont worry.
Just get checked out ASAP
