I'm Currently Feeling: | Antidepressants in 2WW???????? Im caught up in a nervouse break down and emotional melt down.
O.k let me come clean, i am bipolar, i have all my life had problems with stress and i had been on antidepressants for many years.
Now i haven't taken the meds since last year november as i was starting to become someone with no emtion or feeling so i stopped it. I was initially placed on the meds from the 1st day after i lost my son as my DH knows i am bipolar.
Tomorrow is my late sons FIRST Birthday and im falling apart, i havn't had a good nights rest since sunday and i am starting to scratch and shake and twitch alot today, due to me not coping.
Now i took a test last night and BFN, i am in no way implying i might be pregnant but what if i was, can i still take a few pills for a couple of days just to get back to my normal self again????????????

I'm Currently Feeling: | Hey hon, so sorry your feeling bad, I can't imagine how hard it must be for you around this time of year
As far as the 2ww goes, I'd be a bit nervous of taking them if there's any chance of you being pg. As an ex-anti-depressant taker, I'd be even more nervous of you taking just a few at the moment, not sure which ones you're on but mine usually took a couple of weeks to kick in anyway so they wouldn't help immediately. I'd be afraid of you taking some and coming back off again, which might make you feel worse. Maybe pop along to your doc for a chat?
Massive to you, thinking of you and please feel free to pm me if you like xxx |

I'm Currently Feeling: | hey hun is there anyway you could get a blood test done from your doc to see if you are pregnant first before taking any meds ? I know those meds cant be good for baby , my 11 and a half year old son is also bipolar and is on depakote , and risperdal those meds can be nasty , I think your best bet is to make an appointment with your doc . Im sorry for your loss |

| My Mum is bipolar and they give her tranquilisers for bad moments like that. Like somebody else mentioned here they take a few weeks to kick in and initially I've found that at least the anti depressants I used to take made me feel antsy and worse in the first week. One thing I'd say though is please don't put your life on hold waiting for a positive test result. It'll make you absolutely miserable and there is such a thing as being too careful! | | | | Status: Offline

I'm Currently Feeling: | Biggest hugs honey, I would firstly say put yourself first, if I were you I'd pop to the Dr and see if he could give you something to get you through the next few days, nothing long term, but your health has to come first.
Biggest hugs |
