Ok. SO yesterday I tested and reported a BFN. However, it did read positive after about 30 minutes ( i think) and it was quite pink and pretty dark. But since it wasn't in the 10 minute window...I just threw it out as a evap. However, today I've done some googling and there have been at least 3 others who had their positive at about 30 minutes and they did end up being pregnant.

I used First Response.

Should I test again? What brand do you recommend?

No first response- Try a clear blue digi, they are pretty much foolproof

First response is the most sensitive for testing up to 4 days (I think) before AF.

I tested negative twice before AF due and both times a pink line appeared later in the day. I had a total happy heart attack! But was brought back to reality when read instructions that said to discount any result after 10 mins. BUT when AF was due I tested again and then there was a definite line..... and I was preggers.

Maybe the earlier tests picked up a tiny amount of hormones only visable when test evaporated??? Or maybe all tests do this??? Arrrggghhhh it's horrible waiting!!!

Thanks. I don't know when AF is due as this is going to be my first real period after th pill. My last pill period started on May 10. Its just that is was so pink and so dark 30 minutes later.

Was yours dark and pink?

CD 31, but thats from coming off the pill...so who knows. We've BDed everyday, so there is always the possibility.

I'd test again hon just to be sure. I had a second line once on a superdrug test after the 10 minutes but wasn't pg. Best to test again and only count it if it comes up during the right time.

I would say Re-Test. Esp since it was not in the 10 min window. Wait a few days and test again.
