| Don't know what to think! Hey all, new here...
Anyways last month I had unprotected sex from 23rd-26th and by my cycle I should have ovulated on the 27th roughly. My period is due on 15th/16th and are always very regular and I get terrible period pains (almost like mild labour contractions!). Early Saturday morning (as in about 5am... I was coming home from a night out) I noticed some blood in my underwear so I put a pad on when I got home but the only blood that I have had on it and subsequent pads has been where I've sort of wiped myself on it. My periods are usually very heavy and I have to change pads all the time because they get soaked but this period is so light that the blood doesn't seem to be making it even to the pad but there is some if I (sorry to be totally gross!!) check with my fingers. Since I had some in my underwear I don't know if I can class it really as spotting but.. and sorry for the TMI... I was wearing a thong and it was kind of riding up during the night I guess!
So I was wondering... is it possible I'm pregnant even though I'm having this bleeding? Should I take a test or wait until my period is due? I don't spot at all between periods usually and I've never had a period as light as this in my life. I've not had any period cramps although for the past week or so I've had a strange dull ache and some sort of pulling pains that come and go. I also do actually feel a little bit sick and have for a few days now but I've been putting that down to alcohol as I like to have a glass of wine in the evenings to relax and I only got morning sickness from 5 weeks on last time around.
Any answers or advice from people in similar situations would be great. | | | | Status: Offline

I'm Currently Feeling: | It's a bit early to test if AF not due until the 15th - can you wait a couple of days?
Good luck! |

| I'm planning on hanging on until the 18th so I know for sure that my proper period hasn't arrived. I don't think I could face a neg that could be because it's too early now that I've got it into my head I could be pregnant! | | | | Status: Offline

| Grrr I'm fooked off now. I decided to call NHS direct because I remembered I'd tripped on my shoes at the weekend (6 inch heels what can I say?!) and thought maybe that was the cause of it. They basically said I could in no way be pregnant and it was probably just an irregular period although I'd told em I don't have irregular periods or spotting! Why don't these people listen argh! I'm not bothered about not being pregnant but you'd think these trained people would at least listen and not just try to fob you off.

I'm Currently Feeling: | It could be that you are either pregnant or, having a breakthrough bleed or, an irregular period for the 1st time. Our bodies are wonderful but, annoying as well. Only advice I can give is wait until day AF is due and test or, wait a couple of days after it is due to test. Fingers crossed that you find out one way or the other. |
