Does anyone else feel totally alone in there TTC journey?

Now, I am not talking about OH's because, God willing, they are our supports but I mean other TTC women. Here in Alaska, I have not met a single woman who is working to have a kid. It seems like everyone just gets knocked up all easy like...

I so wanted to join some kind of group or meet some women in my STATE who are the same boat but I can't. The internet has failed me. ()

Is anyone else in the same boat?

It's funny i felt real alone too - until i started to talk to people about it.
Then i found out quite a few of my friends had been trying with no success and had simply denied they were TTC until they actually fell pregnant.
Sometimes it feels like nobody understands how sucky it is especially as the months go by.

It's funny. I am so vocal about it these days. I seriously have told every single person I know about TTC because since DH and I have been together so long, I am sick of the "do you just not want to have kids?" question. LOL

Also, I keep waiting for that one person to be like, "Oh, me too! I am TTC!" LOL

Its far more common than anyone thinks. It is such a private journey that I think many people just don't want to open up to what is going on.

I know I kept quiet for a long time and when I started to tell close friends I had 1 of them tell me she was having problems (recurrent miscarriages) then a new lady at work told me she was on her 4th IVF cycle and now someone 5kms down the road from us told us they were doing IVF.

1 in 6 are apparently infertile, most fertile couples take 6-12 months so there are people out there that don't get pregnant the first time they have unprotected sex but it certainly feels like that when it isn't happening for you.

Its an awful feeling to feel like you're the only one.

Hopefully one day we can talk about these things without such a stigma attached, but again, it is a very private thing.

must admit told everyone when i started trying then 6 months later wished i'd kept quiet!! thought it would have been a tad easier but they ho - onwards and upwards!

I feel alone...even stuck here in the big city of Edinburgh!!

Although only started ttc last month but I want to tell everyone, get their thoughts, opinions, find out how long it took them...I think for me its to give me a glimmer of hope the I might actually get a some time soon.

I have some close friends who I am now considering telling, but some of them have recently had babies (and said they were ttc and hit gold first or second time lucky) so I dont know if Ishould as they havent had any major challenges concieving....

I want to tell my mum, but then she will get all hyper and the pressure will be on me to produce her grandchild.

But you are so right...there is groups and meets for a whole host of things but none for the ttc'ers of this world.

Hey , I used to live in Alaska also , I lived in Kenai and Soldotna , I was there for 2 years and loved it , Ive been back in crappy MI for 12 years now .

Alaska is wonderful. I love it. I just wish I could find another TTC girl.

lol Id love to move back there , we have been talking about it , dhs mom and aunt live out there , we figured we will move back there for 6 months out of the year and collect our dividends , lol we miss those and heard they were even more this year. Only problem is My parents live in MI And I think Id miss them again .

I am a city girl, but still feel alone b/c almost every single one of my friends either has kids or is currently pregnant. My friend that is currently pregnant had been TTC for about a year, so I am really happy for her and her husband, but still have that twinge of jealousy. Another close friend had been TTC since last April, and finally did get pregnant this past April, but sadly lost the baby, so her and I have been leaning on each other for support.
