I am totally with ya sister!!!!!!!

i live in rural northern Ontario.... When we stopped drinking at the local bar ( 3 months cleanse for Oh and myself) we told our friends, the owners why!.
That we were TTC...... most ppl here do not TRY to get preg... it just happens.

So their advise ......dont try ( i almost strangled them)... relax and most ppl get preg when they have a few drinks.
oh and by the way I have counted maybe 4 kids that look like they have FAS. ( some severe some mild)
I am doubtful they even know what ovulation is....or any details of conceiving.
So of course I am not taking heir advice. My family lives 4 hrs away so I am without a local support group, other then my OH.
he keeps asking what this forum is and if boys can join..hahahaha

anytime you have to rant about ignorance in a smallcommunity , you'll have my ear and maybe some funny stories to add!!!!!

I too feel very alone, and although Im lucky to have fallen pregnant now, I sometimes feel even more alone.

As a Brit living in France most of our friends are close to retirement age, so have children and grandchildren. I have also been worried to death about scans etc as we havent been here for long, and my French is still very basic.

It now looks like Im returning to the UK for a little while, which means I can catch up with friends and family, and have baby in my home country which is actually a big relief!
