What I said wasn't aimed at you (any parts of my posts) was just giving my own thoughts and beliefs on the topic.

Interesting topic, and I don't think two women will share the same view.
Stress affects everyone differently in my opinion, what can stress one person out
can roll off another persons back.

I don't think it can hinder the actual conception. But I feel it can hinder the external
influences. I mean who wants a nice hot and heavy love making session when they have
their mind of work, bills, kids, and that spot on the carpet right behind the lounge? - And if you have a bad day at work, the last thing you feel like doing is stripping off when you walk in the door and get to it like hornbags. So I feel if it is a hinderence, it's not on the actual body - it's on the lifestyle.

But that said. I've done the whole "lets just relax" thing - nope, didn't do shit for me.

What's stress?
Oh are we talking about what makes us feed our bodies vitamins and minerals that half the population has never heard of?
The stuff that makes us have sex on a schedule and then put our freekin legs up in the air for 30 min's?
Or the pain in the ass that has us temping and looking at our saliva with a miroscope?
I think the stress is what keeps us trying month after dreaded month. If we relaxed it would kill us. It gives us drive.
Just my opinion.
Hope this finds you all doing well.

I haven't read all the posts here, but, I wanted to say how it is for me.

DH and I didn't use birth control from the time Makena was born, Jan. 2005, but we decided to just "let it happen"...no stressing about it...no testing...no thinking...didn't happen at all!

Then DH decided in Dec 2006, to "try-try"...thinking about ovulation and planning the s-e-x, thinking about it all non-stop, etc...we became PG twice (lost both however).

My OB, who I trust very much and is considered "the best" where I live, said that the only thing causing all the stress, is the fact that I can't keep a pregnancy, along with me taking forever to even get pregnant. That's it. Stress "can" delay ovulation, but there is no way that a fertilized egg knows that you are stressed...that would be the cheapest birth control ever! Not to mention, the population would be nil.
