Testing Negative - too early?!?

I would really appreciate anyone's input on this. I'm not sure when I ovulated but I think I may have had implantation on Tuesday/Wednesday. My breasts have been really sore since Tuesday and I had af type cramps quite strongly on Tuesday and softer ones on Wednesday and Thursday. I am testing negative for pregnancy using strip tests I bought on the internet. Is it just too early to test? I thought it might not be as I'm having symptoms. My af would be due on Tuesday if I have a normal 28 day cycle but due to a miscarriage 3 months ago, followed by complications, I have no idea what my normal cycle is. Before we conceived the first time my cycle was all over the place for the 3 months after I came off the pill before we started trying. Hope this is all relevant! Any help very welcome!

I'd say it's probably too early to test just yet. Try to hold off till at least the day you are due - easier said than done I know!! fx for you

Hey Em

I would say too early - even CB HPTs can be used 4 days before AF is due BUT they only give the right results 50% of the time - if you can maybe wait off until Monday or Tuesday then you will get a much better result. Depending on when you ovulated depends on when youw ould get a positive too - my best friend got hers only when AF was a whole week late! oooh the frustration!!!

Re your symptoms... i'm intrigued!! I ovulated last Friday and since yesterday i've been having cramping in waves....... oh i wonder if we'll both get lucky!!

Hey EM, think I am in the same boat as you at the mo, same symptoms, AF is due on tues. These AF cramps a week before AF is due is not normal for me. I am so hoping it is a good sign!

Okay ladies so now I'm beyond confused! The cramping has started again, I got a very faint positive from a First Response on Sunday, I'm testing negative now, (due today) but my breasts are very sore which doesn't normally happen before my af but did when I was last pg. I've checked my cervix but as I haven't been doing this regularly I'm not sure exactly what the position is telling me but there's no sight of af. I expect I am just about to get it but I just wondered if anyone else had implantation cramping and then more cramping a week or so later and what it might be related to if it's not af.

I'd wait til tomorrow morning and then do a clear blue or first response and see what that result is.
Lots of luck x
