I'm Currently Feeling: | Too much sex? Ok, heard various opinions about this, but can't quite get my head around it - is it true that when you're TTC, you shouldn't have sex, like, three times a day?? If so, why not??
I don't understand - if you're ... ermmmm.... 'saving up' all his by only once a day, how are you in a better position (poor choice of phrase perhaps ladies!) than if you have sex a few times a day? Surely there'd be the same number of released in the end...? Or is there something else I'm missing? If you a lot, are his swimmers more immature or something?
Any ideas? Am I being thick?? | | | | Status: Offline

I'm Currently Feeling: | Dee - you are an absolute star!!
My OH is under the impression that we should cut down, but can only because that's what the doctor told him when he and his ex were TTC (I have to say, was not overly thrilled in hearing all about their TTC experience...!)
But it looks like I'm right! Woo hoo! | | | | Status: Offline

I'm Currently Feeling: | Sorry, I'm confused. Does that article not say that it's better to BD every other day? Not three times a day? Sex during ovulation To capitalize on your chances of getting pregnant you must first understand ovulation and why it is important for conception. It is the most fertile period in your cycle when the egg or ovum is released into the uterus. During this fertile period you need to make love every couple of days. This is not to say that you should have sex every day during or around ovulation when attempting pregnancy. Every second day during the middle of the cycle is ordinarily enough.
The specialist nurse that we saw last week said that as my cycle is 29-32 days, she would suggest BD on CD12, 14, 16, 18 and 20. Day 20 is just for the fun of it she said!!! |

But it also says that the more sex you have, the more chance you have of conceiving. Also, it says that although sperm density decreases with each orgasm, that's not particularly important, because there are still spermies there after all! FF did a study on this too based on the charts in their database, and they concluded that more sex is better.
I have read that every other day is better if blokey has known sperm issues. Another point is that over-doing it can lead to lack of ewcm and generally feeling shagged out, which of course is not a great start. |
