I'm Currently Feeling: | OPK question... Hi girlies!
I hardly ever post threads, and I'm SURE this has been asked a billion zillion times before but I can't find anything
I was wondering about OV prediction sticks. I just POAS at noon today (internet cheapy) and have 2 lines - but BOTH are very faint. The SAME faintness, and not like I-need-a-magnifying-glass faint, but just not bright pink... Is this a positive??? Or do they both have to be dark??
Thanks for your help! |

I'm Currently Feeling: | Hey hun, from what I can remember the test line has to be the same or darker than the control, to indicate that you are about to OV.
Hope that helps x |

I'm Currently Feeling: | does the back of the pack have instructions. I have some IC which are slightly different in that it's 2 lines pos 1 line neg - you don't need to have a dark as, or darker line, which is much easier! |

I'm Currently Feeling: | The strength of the control line can depend on how long youve been holding out to pee.
As long as its the same shade or darker then it should be a positive opk |

I'm Currently Feeling: | I think some of the cheapie sticks don't have an awful lot of dye in them, so they can look very feint. If the second line is the same shade as the control line I reckon you should count that as a positive!
I posted some pics of my cheapie positives - do yours look like these? Beautiful pos on an internet cheapie |

I'm Currently Feeling: | Hello,
I found this website amazingly helpful when I was trying to understand the workings of OPKs - http://www.peeonastick.com/opkfaq.html#2
I'd say it's positive if it's as dark as the control (even if it's not and you haven't been getting two lines before today I'd take it as positive, get lots of BDing done and test twice for the next couple of days so you don't miss anything!).

I'm Currently Feeling: | I agree with AG, if you don't hold your pee long enough the control line can be pretty light. |

I'm Currently Feeling: | Ok this is only my experience...
I was using the cheapie ones too, the ones where the control line should be as dark, or darker than the test line!
I only used them for one month, and the line was never as dark as test line, however I took the darkest line I got last month as a positive (it really wasnt very dark at all). Next day the line was gone!!
I got my BFP, so shows I ovulated!!
Lots of luck!! |
