I think you are supposed to wait a year minimum as the experts do say it can take upto 18 months to conceive when coming off the pill.

Frustrating.......

It depends on lots of stuff such as if you have any kids already, age, other medical issues but normally a year at least, especially if you only came off the pill in Nov as it can take ages to fully get your cycle back and get it out of your system.

How old are you? Your partner?
Any gynae problems in the past?
Generally it's 12mths - as that is the average time it takes to fall in normal healthy people
If you are over 35/just coming up to it then they may refer you on for basic tests after 6mo. A lot also depends on your area tbh, and how sympathetic your GP is.
I know it feels like it's taking ages, but it's really not, it's pretty average so far

Its usually reccomended to wait 12 months before seeing your gp for the basic tests. I had a nice doctor who did it at 11 months.

I lied and told my dr we'd been trying for a year when we'd only been trying for 6 months, tee hee! But am so pleased I did cos our results were fine and it took a weight off our minds. We're now just enjoying it all and won't panic until the new year now if still no bfp. X

I was told 12 months if under 35 and no problems, over 35 6 months.

Not that it helps much but apparently 90% of people will fall pregnant within 12 months... this month could be your lucky one!!

You doing the charting/opks/ and all the rest of it?x
