1. Twins run through the mother's side (i.e. would have to be passed down from your side of the fam) as they result from a tendency to double ovulation (btw, for those playing along at home, this has to happen w/i a 24 hour period, so no suggesting that folks with a fallback rise or anov-looking pattern have ovulated twice in one month).
2. Only fraternal twins are hereditary (see above re: double ovulation). Identical twins are freaks of nature (ha ha, okay maybe random occurrance is a nicer word). |

Just curious! | DH and I have been ttc for a long time now and age is not on my side: 39! So ideally I'd like quads, two of each. |

I'm Currently Feeling: | I always wonder was my mum ever pregnant with twins as my bro is left handed. I watched a documentary that was researching if kids that where left handed had a twin in the womb at early stages and miscarried(probably without knowing). It was all very scientific |

| Oh yes!! I've always dreamt about having twins -- two fraternal girls or a boy/girl duo would be FAB!! My dad has a fraternal twin so I am hoping that the 'hyperovulation' (tendency to release more than one egg) gene has been passed down to me from my paternal grandmother!!!
Yaya xx |
