| Help calculating my cycle length? *confused* Can someone help me figure out how long my cycle is? And if my periods are considered regular or irregular? I just get confused when I try to figure it out! I bought an OPK but I need this information to determine when to start testing lol. Here are the dates of my last periods starting with the earliest...

I'm Currently Feeling: | Count from the first day of full flow to the day BEFORE your period starts, and that is your cycle length.
IE if you come on on the 1st and then on the 29th day your preiod starts again, you count one back, so your cycle would be 28 days.
Sorry haven't time to go and sit with a calendar for you to work out all your dates above^^ |

I'm Currently Feeling: | Hi,
Why don't you try a charting site like FertilityFriend.com you can put all your dates in and it'll work out how long each cycle was and give you predicted AF dates and things. |

I'm Currently Feeling: | Can't tell you the exact dates, but you look like you have fairly regular periods - just test on the 1st date of your longest one |

I'm Currently Feeling: | id suggest mymonthlycycles.com or fertilityfriend, as well! Its a great way to log all your symptoms and periods each month and you can also print out a chart of when to start trying opk's, when your most likely fertile days are etc- and best of all its for free!!!
To be regular you should have periods that dont differ too much, a day or 2 out here or there is considered normal. And as the girlies have already mentioned, you start counting from the first day you have a full flow, i.e. not spotting.
Good luck, chicken, and feel free to ask any more questions..that's what we're here for |

| i have a strange ability to quick calculate dates, so let me try to help...
your cycles have been (jan to may) 27 days 28 days 39 days and 32 days. therefore, its not really all that regular unfortunately. regular means that your cycle lengths are about the same within a couple of days each month. you start off with shorter ones and then have longer ones. thats not a bad thing, just irregular =) for opks, you might just have to start testing on a day that you wont miss the ov, and keep on poas. can get pricey, so i might recommend the ebay cheapies. but like the other ladies said, the best bet is to use one of those online ovulation calculators, that really work wonders in trying to figure you out. its way smarter than my quick math =) and the more start dates it asks for, the more accurate it will be. just good ovulation calculator if you are not happy with the other links (havent looked at them).
good luck hun! |
