I'm Currently Feeling: | Going to docs to ask about progestrone levels ... I have an appointment tomorrow for a check up after a miscarriage two weeks ago. I am going to ask about testing my hormone levels as I think this was why I miscarried. I know I have a very short luteal phase and want to be tested for my progestrone level before we start to try again.
Has anyone approached their doctor about this and what was the outcome? xx | | | | Status: Offline

I'm Currently Feeling: | Hi - sorry for your loss!
I had an early MC in Feb and I have spotting for about 5 days before AF so i went to docs and i am having CD21 bloods done this cycle just to check my progesterone levels. I'm on CD9 at the moment. |

I'm Currently Feeling: | after charting for three months and realising that i ovulate on cd26 normally (apart from this cycle) and AF arrives between cd31-33 i went to my GP. She did everything she could but the cd21 tests and hubby has done his sperm test now which has come back all clear. She referred us to a fertility specilaist last wk after we've been trying 9 mths on the basis of my charts and cbfm evidence. I would really suggest going with "evidence" if you can of a progesterone deficiency or short luteal phase as i think they'll fob you off without it |

I'm Currently Feeling: | Well just been to the docs and it went well. On my next cycle which will be first AF after m/c I am to get tests done to monitor progestrone. I get the first test on cd2-4, then cd21, cd28 (if AF has not arrived) and then on cd35 (is AF has not arrive). Im so pleased cause then I can rule out hormone imbalance and just put my m/c down to one of these unexplained things that happens. | | | | Status: Offline

I'm Currently Feeling: | Sounds like u had a good response from ur doc - ur lucky, a lot of people on here, including me have crap docs that r too quick to fob u off with excuses. Hopefully u'll get some answers this cycle xx |
