| Going to the docs Going to get an appointment at the docs as we are about to start cycle no. 14.
Do you think it should be an appointment for just myself or should it be for both my husband and I?
What usually happens? Do we both go? Just me go and him go separately? Do I go and wait for some kind of referral? I've got no idea | | | | Status: Offline

I'm Currently Feeling: | I'm sorry I'm not sure either. I'd call the doctors office though and see what they recommend. Good luck |

I'm Currently Feeling: | My DH has come with me to ever one of my fertility specialist appointments. I think it is good because we both focus on different things and remember different things. Also, it gets DH involved and excited and he can ask questions that you may not think of.
Good luck! |

I'm Currently Feeling: | i found it good that your partner comes with you to TTC/fertility/pregnancy appointments, and doctors like that because really, the entire journey is between 2 people, not just you! And plus, if you're both together then you will all learn all the information together and not have to relay the info to one another after the appointment.
Good luck with it, hun! |

I'm Currently Feeling: | I wouldn't bother taking your OH really - it's only the GP and they will either tell you to go away again *grr*, order up basic bloodworks on you, or refer you on anyway. |

I'm Currently Feeling: | My DH and I are both registered with doctors in different practices. I went to my GP and hub came with me. He then went to his GP and I went with him. If your GP is anything like mine, they will request a SA from DH which will need to be organised through his GP and the results forwarded to yours. That way your GP can send his results along with any blood test results to the hospital they refer you to. We have had all the tests done - bloods on different CD, HSG, etc, and every time my OH was present. I'm not going through all the prodding and poking without him seeing how distressing it is!!
Hope that makes sense. If not, you can PM me.
Good luck |
