I'm Currently Feeling: | Early pregnant and flying? Hi all,
Assuming I am not preggers this month I have to get pregnant next month!
Reason being me and my friend have booked a holiday to spain with our children towards the end of september. I didnt really give much thought to if/when I could get pregnant as I always thought it was the last few months that you shouldnt fly.
If I catch next month (june) I will be almost 4 months gone by the time we go which would be great, but if I catch July I will be almost 3 months which im not sure about.
Assuming I dont get my in june/july and catch in aug is it still safe to fly? Will it be safe to fly at almost 3 months if I catch in July?
Any advice would be much appreciated..

I'm Currently Feeling: | I flew when I was about 10 weeks pregnant. Doctor told me there really were no problems with flying........except in third tri, and they prefer you not fly than. My only problem was dealing with the MS while on the plane |

I'm Currently Feeling: | Oh gosh yeah, I didnt think of that.
Isnt there an increased risk of DVT whilst pregnant?
Sorry for all the questions!! |

I'm Currently Feeling: | Hi, I guess it's also got to do a bit with your personal history ie if you have a history of mcs or not. I do, and my Drs have told me that I cannot fly during the first or last tri, and only short distances (less than 3 hours) during the 2nd. My DH is a pilot and says that even if the Drs hadn't told me I couldn't there's no way he'd let me fly during the 1st tri.
I believe with the average person there is absolutely no problem to fly in the first tri, I know air hostesses who have worked well into their 2nd trid with no problem. |

Sorry for all the questions!! | I think if it's a short-haul flight there's no issue, but keep your toes wriggling! |

I'm Currently Feeling: | Thanks hun, yes its only 2 1/2 hours so hopefully will be ok. Never had an m/c until last month (chemical pg) so no history as such.
Ill talk to my doc if i need to about DVT as I do have some slight varicose veins on the inside of my thigh. Maybe I'll have to wear those flight stockings...hmmmm sexy! |

I'm Currently Feeling: | The doctor did tell me to make sure to exercise my legs, stretch my calf muscles out (one flight was 3 1/2 hours the connecting flight an hour) |
