Tips on OPKs?

I have been using the OPKs this cycle (the cheapies with the green "handle" on the end) and I have been having the faintest pink lines. Nothing is getting any darker. I have been holding my wee for EVER before using them but it seems to make no difference. I have four left and I am wondering If I will even see a positive....

You really need a lot of OPK's if you want to ensure you get a positive especially if your cycles are irregular, you can also buy the cheapie green handle ones in 2 sensitivities - 15 and 30. I bought a large pack of the 15 sensitivity as they were recommended for ladies with irregular cycles or who have recently come off BCP's.

I also tested twice a day, afternoon and before bed, and never held my urine for very long and started testing days before the instructions told me to, good thing I did as I ovulated 7 days earlier than my last cycle!

One other point I never got a very dark line (darker than the control line) so take the darkest line you get as a positive, and remember you can ovulate literally overnight from seeing the dark line (for others its within 36 hours).

I got my BFP first month using them, and without them would never have known I was ovulating so earlier!

Lots of luck and hope you get your BFP very soon.

I never used them but I have heard that OPKs don't work for some women...that they never get a positive on them even though they do OV every month. Sorry I couldn't be of more help
