| could someone look at my chart please? had what I thought was a positive OPK on the 13th May, (half the line was as dark as the control, i think) and on the 14th the line was very light again. take my temps at the same time every day, but ff hasn't confirmed ovulation yet. I've had all the ewcm etc, but I haven't seen a thermal shift yet.
my previous cycle was my 1st off bcp, so thats why it was so long (i think)
obviously my body might take time to adjust to that, but i feel like i've had all the signs, and then no shift?
any ideas?
thanks! http://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/1fec91 |

| Hiya hun
It's possible that FF will confirm ov in a day or so -- it waits until there are a couple of sustained high temps (usually 3) before it pinpoints ov. So maybe give it a few more days? If it still doesn't mark ov and you continue to get ewcm without a sustained temp rise, you might not have ov yet and should keep bd-ing. The positive opk indicates that ov is imminent but sometimes it still doesn't occur and then your body will try again to release the egg. As long as you're still getting ewcm, keep bd-ing in case.
Hope that helps a little.

I'm Currently Feeling: | I agree with YAYA - keep BDing in case but you need your temps to go up over the next three days or so. Good luck! |

I'm Currently Feeling: | my charts were all over the place for quite a while after bcp! I would keep bd and use your cervical mucus and opks to get a rough idea until your temps show a more obvious pattern! i know its frustrating! |

I'm Currently Feeling: | have you tried putting a few more high temps in for the next few days and seeing what it does (you can delete them straight away afterwards). I got impatient with mine and put a couple more similar temperatures in and it put a line in for me! I've found FF to be very cautious!

I'm Currently Feeling: | It looks like your body is readjusting after the BCP, and you are having an annovular cycle (no ovulation- at least as yet). You can tell this because of the "sawtooth" pattern of temps (up and down). For an ovulatory cycle, you should see mostly low temps pre-O (mostly in the 35.9-36.4 range) leading to mostly high temps post-O(mostly in the 36.5-36.8 range). Your temps overall look quite low to me- it may be worth doing a thyroid test just in case.
Good luck, & all the best! | | | | Status: Offline

| thanks guys!
is it common to get ewcm without ovulation?
I was pretty sure that I ovulated last month, but perhaps not! if i've not ovulated yet then does it mean i'm still fertile or not? lol. so complex
insomnimama - i had a low thyroid test last year and it came back negative, is it possible that its changed since then? |

If you don't have any kind of wettish CM (or substitute like pre-seed) within the vecinity of both and O, it is damned near impossible to get pregnant. Quote:

What you would want to see is whether your temps are consistently low (pre AND post-O). Right now I can only see your pre-O (annov) temps, which are on the low side. If you O'd and your post-O temps were still low, and this occurred over several cycles, you may have a thyroid problem. Sorry so long. |
