I heard that a false positive was quite rare... however I tested this morning knowing that it was too early and after a few minutes it was still threw it in my handbag (didnt want work colleagues seeing it in the bin lol) went to throw it away at home about 3 hours later and it was positive, clear as day, a pink line not a evap line (IMO) now the problem I have is I didnt check it within 10 mins so it could of changed within that time or it could of changed the minute before I went to throw it away??

Went to thr FP clinic tonight and they tested but it was negative, im sure I read somewhere on here that the FP clinic and Dr's tests are no more accurate than the HPT. The woman I saw told me that it was a false positive and that I have to go back on Monday with a morning sample!

Hmmm more waiting LOL! x

They put time limits on tests for a reason.

Hi Kipps thanks for your message hun! You wouldnt believe the amount of HPT's I have done over the last 18 years and not one of them has ever given me a positive result after leaving it for a few hours! They always stay at so for me to feel pg then get this test result was quite strange! But as toriaaaaTRASH said, there is a reason they put a time limit on checking it! So im not expecting a positive result on Monday but watch this space LOL!

Tansey I was over there having a nose at the testathon just now and Sunday will be day 21 for me and the woman I spoke to at FP told me no sooner than day 21 so I think I might just join you all over there! YAY how exciting, problem is im out all day Sunday so its either gonna have to be early or late for me! But I will be there!

try and stay positive as it does sound good news.... but i cant understand how it would go from bfn to bfp if there is no pg hormone?? as this is the only thing that activates the second line/dot...

i still have my 2 bfp tests from when i fell pg in 2004 and they havent changed at all.. and also since ttc i have frantically kept checking bpn tests for days sometimes just in case and they never change...
