An explanation is intended a PM was intended but please consider that its not always possible immediately - I removed the threads & I intended to send you a PM but with youngster in the house & juggling the fact we just moved (unpacking/sorting/day to day living) I may intend on doing something but sometimes have to come back to it. Please accept my apology for not getting in contact immediately

I have looked 'breifly' over the threads & as above intended to contact you (Tish) via PM ...what I have taken in so far is that its a testing dates thread only limited to one day & a sort of pos picture thread. We have also spent much time (ages) & effort on BabyandBump to create & constantly update specific sticky threads & seperate sections to BabyandBump 1. A testing dates thread 2. A pos gallery (opks & pregnancy tests) along with sticky clubs neither of this excludes others IE they don't have to be testing on ONE specific day/date - What about those who are ovulating on the 18th, not even at O day or nowhere near a good time for testong? In short what has been discusted not even too long ago is the 'clique' side of things mainly totally unintential I know but how an outsider who is unable to contribute to the thread can feel.

Of course originally it was subjected with the word 'Official....blah blah blah thread' which can give the wrong look because of course official kind of makes it look like its apart of the owners/team an offical thread of the forum but as stated we bend over backwards updating these kind of threads which believe me is hard work & time consuming sometimes along side the original time spent in creating & bringing these useful threads to BabyandBump.

If I have made a mistake about what your threads were about (not a testing day/date and/or a gallery type thread) please let me know

Edit: pos = pee on stick

Hmmm okay....

Let me start by saying we ALL appreciate all the work put into BnB and we're extremely grateful it's here. I do hope you all know that.

Now about the Testathlon, if I understand correctly it is not it breaking rules really, it's just that it goes towards the clique thing. Now there were 16 or 17 girls testing then, right? That's hardly a select closed clique much more so as everyone who wanted to was invited.

Also, as you noticed I'm sure there are really two or three at most batches every month of AF times, Oing times and of course testing times so at most there would be two or three batches of "cliques" .

I appreciate the sentiment -trying to make everyone feel included- but that's not really the nature of the beast unless we all have the exact same length of cycle, which well we are working towards LOL so there will always be people "on the outside looking in" even if it is reading a thread about a lady needing to POAS or a journal with symptoms.

I know there are very well maintained with a lot of work put into stickies on the testing dates and symptoms and we're grateful they're there. I also know -from being told so- that it's fine to clutter them with spam, is it then okay if we move all this thing to that thread that AG maintains? I don't think it would be any bother for anyone but her having to weed through picture after picture of a bfn. Alternatively we can move the entire thing off BnB I presume to someone's blog or such (and to be fair, if a clique was the point, that could have been done already) but we love it here *blush* and wanted everyone possible included!

Now please believe me that I am not trying to be controversial for the sake of it, it's just that the Testathlon is something we have all looked forward to for the past week or so and it's suddenly gone without warning. Leaves us kinda cold and sad.

So is it okay to do the exact same thing on AG's thread then?

The Testing Date thread is a Sticky that everyone participates in and is just that... A testing date thread. It is intended for the use of everyone so they can share the dates they are planing on Testing... It is not limited to just one Day for a handful of people to use. It is updated regularly and changes each month. So it is different than the Testathon.

We also have some updates in the planning to both new sections & a couple of stickys but again between life it just takes a little time behind the scenes to sort.

NOBODY said the 'rules' were broken I simply pointed out that there is a testing date thread and there is a gallery and there is work put into these options by us as daily as its possible and neither exclude others.

Okay..... now was that about my mental abilities? I'm not in my right mind since TTC but I think I juggle concepts fairly well still

Anyhow, I am aware what the testing thread and the gallery are, I am simply asking if we can use it for this or the whole idea needs to be axed. If that's the case I also want to know if there's any problem with carrying on with this some place else. Not leaving the site or anything of the sort, just doing it in another spot on the web.

I do hope I don't come across as wanting to rock the boat or challange authority as that is TRULY not my intention. It is just that, as I said, while I understand part of the reasoning it's an idea that was very dear to us and we'd still very much like to do it. It kept us relatively sane all week!

LOL, I always get a mental image of someone sitting at their computer bashing on their keyboard whenever I read someone post something like that

Personally what I objected was the words 'official' and 'we'... but 'We' have had a chat and have put the thread back to see how it pans out.
Testathon thread

Don't let it be said that we don't run the forum for its members.

Don't misconstrue this as a chance to challenge every decision we make because some decision are made for the benifit of the 1000's hours hard work that have already put in and want to protect.

In future I suggest that if anyone wants to use 'official' in the title run the idea pass admin first.

LOL well we are bashing on our keyboards daily, we're very experienced.

However, thank you very much for putting them back -haven't had a chance to take a look yet- that is indeed far more democratic than most forums I've ever been on.
