As I read more and more about it being bad, I am also worrying if that is the cause why we can't get pregnant either (though i haven't been trying as long as you, maybe about 6 months) - now we weren't actively trying this month, but i wanted to see what AF would do - I am 12DPO and started spotting as I suspected I would yesterday at 11DPO. Which if Af doesn't come early, I will be spotting for 4 days prior to this month.

I am right now trying to change my diet, because there's been so much candy and sweets in the house since about Valentine's Day and then Easter, my diet has been extra poor, but I noticed the spotting since about August of last year, a couple months before we began trying so I don't know if it's diet. Truth be told I guess since last year my diet hasn't been good but anyways....it could have something to with diet, not eating enough fruits/veggies/whole grains etc. It could have to do with low progesterone /hormones/stress and several other medical reasons.

I am going to print out one or two articles I found to show to my gyno as proof, because I no longer believe it's harmless.

Don't worry hun, I'm just as worried as you are
Sorry you started spotting hunni.

You should forget worrying aboout your diet at least for today and treat yourself to some chocolate.
I also found wine v v helpful last night when I started spotting yesterday afternoon!!!

What do your articles say? do you have the links to them - i might take them to my dr as well.

As I said in other posts, I've been spotting for up to 6 days prior AF. My GP said that was nothing to worry about and did nothing. But I read everywhere that is not a good sign. I took evening primrose oil last cycle and I had not spotting at all and AF came this morning in full flow, maybe coincidence but I think it was the oil. I'm going to the fertility clinic next week and I'll ask about the spotting thing and let you all know what they say, they should know if it's normal or something to worry about. But it seems all girls spotting have difficulties conceiving so it must mean something dont you think?
we will find answers and solutions to it, dont worry

Do you know if there is anything that can be done to help low progesterone after day 21?

VitB6 helps, apparently. Start with 50mg a day. x

I'm on my 2nd cycle of this now - no improvement last cycle but it may take longer to kick in. I'll let you know about this cycle!
