Question

Officially a YEAR!

Hello Girls,

This is just a moan as today we've been officially trying for a year after 2 m/c. Both our failed pregnancies happened pretty much straight away. I'm heartbroken! I can't stop thinking about the fact that by now I would have had at least a 6 months old at home. And that there is something seriously wrong with me, even though all my blood work came back fine and DH is fine too. I've got my first fertility appt on 2nd of June, I've been waiting for this appt for 3 months! We've been trying to be causal about it, but the last cycle I started charting, I though perhaps we were timing it wrong. But OPKs worked, we timed everything so right (and I'm now more than certain that we have done so before too) and still NOTHING! I don't even feel sad anymore, I feel like I feel nothing..sorry girls for such a long rant!

Awww, don't get down.
I am coming up fast behind you to the year mark, so i appreciate how you must be feeling.
Your appt is so soon now though. Half the heartache of TTC is the non stop waiting and wishing your life away. You are so close to that appt now though, just keep sight of that. I bet you will feel a zillion times better once you've been and the ball is well and truly rolling!

Hi, getting the appt is one step closer to your long awaited baby. Ive been trying a year now with 1 mc, and doc wants me to wait till August before any further investigations are done. Not really keen on waiting but have resigned myself to not using opks etc just lots of bedroom fun and see what happens...attempting to lower my stress levels away from the constant obssession of testing and all .
Thinking of you xx

I'm sorry to hear about your 2 m/c hun.

There is nothing wrong with you, don't worry. If it's been a year then statistically 95% of women fall within a year. That being the case i bet you are PG by the time that appt comes around!!

You'll go along on June 3rd and lo and behold... you will be told it's not necessary!!

I saw it in my crystal ball, promise.

Chin up chick and hope it all goes okay xx

You are so right, Coffee! I really feel like I've lived in a vacuum all this time. I'm just behind some glass watching other people living their life, their bellies and kids growing while you just do nothing. I feel like I've had enough of it. I wish someone could erase my mind and I could live my life the way I did before ttc and m/c. If only.. ) Thanks a lot for your reply. It's so good to vent somewhere and once people reply to you, you realize you don't actually feel as bad as you thought. ) Good luck, lots of baby dust! I can see you are only 3 days away from testing.

Oh i said this very same sentence to someone only last week!! I completely know how you feel! Sometimes you just have one of those days where you think "this isn't me! I was happy before!" and you long to get your life back!
I think i've forgotten what it's like to have a friend say "let's do X next week" or whatever and i just say 'yes' without frantically working out if there is a pg possibility and whether whatever activity they have suggested is pg-friendly!!!
You'll feel tons better after the appt.... although as Rachelle says - its always the way - minute you take the plunge and go down the medical route you find out you don't need the appt after all!! I'll be keeping my fingers crossed that's the way it goes for you.

Just wanted to say sorry to hear of your losses and I kinda know how it feels, been of BCP 15 months now and had a m/c 2 months ago but been attending the fertility clinic and even though the appointments are quite far apart i try to set little milestones instead of thinking months ahead and it has seemed to keep me sane so far!!

Best of luck for your appointment but hopefully you will not need it!

Thank you so much girls!! You are all really great! I feel much better today. I am clearly not alone and I'm sure we all have our dark moments. It's great to have a moan from time to time with people who know exactly what you're going through. I find family and friends tend to forget very quickly and you feel so lonely. I wish I wouldn't focus on this so much. It's hard though, I've already worked out that this cycle DH is away on a business trip just in the "right time". Nothing is quite as spontaneous as it used to be, I'm totally with you there Coffee. Lots of baby dust to you all!!!
