does anyone else here still smoke whilst ttc???

im trying my dammed hardest to stop but until i do get a im finidng it difficlut....

i know it is best for me to stop but evertime that awful turns up i cant help but start again.....

I was in the process of quitting when I fell pregnant. I did things like buying lights instead of normal fags (or even go onto rollies) and smoking half a cig, chipping it and saving the other half for my next fix. Good luck with kicking the habit and on your TTC journey xXx

thanks.. i smoke menthols which are lighter anyway but you know when u get that disheartened feeling of well im not pg so surely it shouldnt matter its hard not too...

also i fell pg when i was alot younger and i went of fags almost instantly so i almost hoping it will be an indication for me if i fall again....

if i found out i was pg right now id stop no problem... crazy isnt it,...

i smoke richmond menthols at the mo and i kow that when i do get a i will quit.

my friend smoked when she was ttc. when she found out she immediately stopped however the doctor told he to slowly comne of it as if you suddenly stop it will stress you out and the baby. also she was told it is more harmful in the third trimester than the first.

so she slowly came of the fags when she passed her 4 month mark

she has had a little baby girl healthy as they come!!!!!

so dont worry im in the same boat as you chick!!!

I know where you're comming from. All you can do is you best to cut down and eventually stop as it will help your health as well as fertility and the health of you baby when you do fall. It's not really for me to preach cos I was on 30 a day myself but I wish you the very best of luck xXx

see my friend was smoking drinking and taking drugs (not good i know) and she only found out she was pg when she was 5 months.... and she has the most perfect healthy 3 yr old....

i just worry that by smoking im harming my chances of conceiving.. (she says whilst lighting up!!)

Yup I do. (Not many.) I won't after I get my I'm rather dismayed about the "come off slowly" method, my gyn said the same but I'd rather I went cold turkey, I'm not a sensible person

yeah i dont understand that come off slowy thing either but i suppose its more for heavy smokers.. as when u come off anything addictive it puts your body through stress...

I was a light smoker (about 7 a day) tho if i was having a drink then i could smoke 30

I just went coold turkey and it never annoyed me in the slighest even tho i tryed for ages b4. I think its easier when u know u have a lo inside u
