In fact last month I was wondering whether to start taking it again and I even put a thread on here, cos I was starting to chart my BBT and wanted to know if my temps were gonna rise naturally- the progesterone would have elevated them so I wouldn't have been able to tell. I chose not to, so I would be able to interpret my temps correctly. My temps did rise, so I guess that means my levels can't be too low? But then I got the spotting so may be they are.
The thing is, I didn't actually have any tests to check my hormone levels. My gyno gave me an internal exam and from the symptoms I'd described (plus the pg bleeding) he prescribed the progesterone.
My head is in a mess now. I really want to continue charting my temps, but there will be no point if I start taking the progesterone will there? Sorry, hypothetical question as I know I have to deal with this one myself |

I took them for about 3 months and then *forgot* one cycle and my periods were fine anyway, no random spots or bleeds. So I stopped taking them.
Last cycle was the first I have done *properly* with BBT, CP, CM etc and I discovered that I was spotting from three days before AF. I naively thought this might be implantation (I have quite short cycles, it was conceivable (sorry for the pun!). But I didn't know that implantation bleeds don't last more than one day. I also didn't get any spots in my undies - I wouldn't have know had I not been checking my CM, which was pink.
Now it all seems to fit together - I have probably been having these *inside thus invisible* spots all the time that I haven't been taking the progesterone and I also have failed big time with TTC for the last 9 months because I am a complete idiot. | first you are not a idiot!!! we all trying our best to try to explain why we are not falling pregnant as soon or fast as other... i posted this as information everyone if different but if you have a gut feeling you should go and ask questions and get answer for sure ...that is what i am trying to do too
good luck sweetie |

You might want to see your GP before you get your - I might not have had to spend a week in hospital trying not to have a miscarriage if I had already been taking progesterone! There could be many reasons for your spotting as Miel says, but if you do have the same issues as me, you have the benefit of hindsight here! |

I'm Currently Feeling: | I am in the US and my gyno said spotting was normal > I am losing faith in doctors these days.
If it happens one more cycle I am going to go and asked to get checked, I worry most about it being some type of cancer, as listed. my tests in Dec came back normal, so I hope it's not that |
