it was only a cheapo test, £2.99 was all the pharmacy by work had. Could that make any difference?

Hi

sorry for gatecrashing this thread - but noticed that you mentioned you had your tubes flushed - I am trying to organize getting it done for me in July (having to go private seen as hospital taking forever!!!) and wondered how it had gone. Did it hurt?
I have read that you are more fertile for the three months after having them flushed so v v v hopeful for you this month.

Beck is flushed the same as having them lasered if you have cysts? it wasn't me but on my best friends had it done using laparoscopy and she fell pregnant within 2 months - they told her she had a 5 month window.

Good luck!

I don't think so - I thought flushing was when they send a load of dye up there so they can see if there are any blockages. It therefore lets the doctor know that they are clear and therefore an egg can travel down them and also usually clears away any bits of debris (although goodness knows what the debris actually is??). My cousin had it done after three years of TTC and conceived the next month - so I am desperate to get it done as I have had all my bloods done and they all came back perfect and my OH's sperm was great too - so really blocked tubes is the only other thing left open to me except 'unexplained infertility' as the reason why it is taking so long.
I presume the flushing would show if there were any cycst - which could then be lasered off?

Its all so confusing - and the doctors are no bloomin help - thank god for BnB and google!!

I had an HSG - they put a catheter in my cervix into uterus and bascially flooded a type of dye stuff through that shows up on xray screen and can show them if it runs through your tubes properly. Similar to having a smear - i took 3 paracetamol an hour b4 and although it was sore when they banged my pelvis with the clamp doodah the only thing I felt was when they pushed into my cervix for a second and a nasty cramp for a few seconds when they injected the dye. I got myself into a state b4 it though and was v scared.

they told me there and then and showed me that the dye had run out the ends of the tubes.
tip - take someone with you, I was alone and felt rough after it, and had to walk back to town. and don't fret too much, it's not pleasant but nowhere near as bad as I feared

Brilliant news that there was no blockage - as mentioned before - my cousin fell pregnant after three years of TTC the cycle after she had hers done - so really really hope this is your month.

Crossing everything for you - even my legs cos have AF so my 'downstairs' is getting a rest!!!!!

I thought I would post my symptoms for all you lot to ponder over .

I got symptoms really early last month, before I could even test..these were:

Really bloated feeling
Loads of gas (both ends), burping.
Tingling nipples then later sore breasts.
Dull ache in Lower back .
Widdling like every half an hour.
(unfortunately ended in early m/c at 5 weeks 3 days)

Have symtoms again now but feel extremely tired this time, I have to have a sleep at 2:30 every day and am dying to get back in bed at 11 pm.
Very sensitive smell. I keep barfing at certain smells.
Tingley nipples.
Some mild cramping.
Creamy CM (sorry if tmi)
Just beginning to burp again too......and slight gas (other end, sorry again if tmi)

AF due next week so I t wont be long before I can confirm (or not) if these are pg symptoms!
Fingers crossed ....
